Halloween is celebrated each year on October 31st. A
mix of ancient Celtic practices, Catholic and Roman religious rituals and
European folk traditions blended over time to create the holiday we know
today.
Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition.
It has long been thought of as a day when the dead can return to the earth.
Halloween activities include trick-or- treating, attending Halloween costume
parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o’-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple
bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories and watching
horror films.
In order to celebrate this festivity, the pupils from
the 3rd and 4th grades have decorated their classrooms
with pumpkins, bats, ghosts, witches, black cats and spiders that they have
made.
Thank you all! Your projects are fantastic.
Your English Teacher,
Rosa Barbosa
